All ADU projects encounter unexpected costs typically related to the condition of existing infrastructure on the property. These unexpected costs include:

  1. Decommissioning an old cesspool;

  2. Repairing a broken sewer line on the property;

  3. Upgrading the breaker box or electrical wiring in the primary residence;

  4. Relocating existing electrical service based on requirements from local electric utility; or

  5. Upgrading the water service to the property

In each of these situations, Dweller will work with the property owner to identify a solution to the problem and either perform the necessary repairs for an additional cost or identify service providers to perform the work.
